Sakuma Morimasa
“The Demon Genba”
Katsuie's nephew and vanguard of the northern army, feared as "the Demon Genba" for his ferocity. At Shizugatake he won distinction by killing Nakagawa Kiyohide on Mount Ōiwa in a lightning strike, but ignored Katsuie's orders to withdraw and stayed in the captured position, where Hideyoshi, back from the Great Return from Mino, fell on him and routed him. Captured, he is said to have refused a pardon and been beheaded.

- Tenshō 11 The Raid on Mount Ōiwa Stormed Nakagawa Kiyohide's fort, killed him and made his name.
- Tenshō 11 Defeat at Shizugatake Hideyoshi punished his overextension; his force collapsed and he was captured.
