Chōsokabe Morichika
“The Last Lord of Tosa”
Fourth son of Chōsokabe Motochika, who unified Shikoku. He sided with the Western Army at Sekigahara but, pinned on Mount Nangū, ended on the losing side without fighting, and Tosa was confiscated. After years as a masterless samurai in Kyoto he led his old retainers to Osaka and fought fiercely at Yao. Captured after the castle fell, he was executed in Kyoto with his family, and the Chōsokabe line ended.

- Keichō 4 Succession Inherited Tosa on the death of his father Motochika.
- Keichō 5 Loss of Tosa Sided with the Western Army at Sekigahara and lost Tosa without having fought.
- Keichō 20 Siege of Osaka Joined the Toyotomi side with his old retainers, fought hard at Yao and died.
