Takeda Katsuyori
“Takeda Shirō”
Shingen's fourth son and the last head of the Takeda. With courage inherited from his father he took Takatenjin Castle and expanded his domain for a time, but at Nagashino he suffered a crushing defeat to the Oda–Tokugawa arquebusiers and lost most of his veteran commanders. Thereafter he could not resist the Oda offensive; his retainers deserted one after another, and cornered at Tenmokuzan he took his own life with his family. The great house of Takeda was destroyed.

- Genki 4 Succession On the death of his father Shingen he inherited the heavy burden of the Takeda house.
- Tenshō 3 Crushing Defeat at Nagashino Charged the Oda–Tokugawa gun line again and again and lost many veteran commanders.
- Tenshō 10 Tenmokuzan His retainers deserted before the Oda invasion; he took his own life at Tenmokuzan and the Takeda were destroyed.
