Kōyō Gunkan
The famous commander who exiled his father Nobutora, took over the house and swept through Shinano under the banner of "wind, forest, fire, mountain." He contended with Uesugi Kenshin at Kawanakajima and showed rare talent in government too, with flood-control works such as the Shingen embankment and the development of mines. Late in life he launched a march on the capital and swept Ieyasu aside at Mikatagahara, but fell ill on the way and died while turning back to Kai with his ambition unfulfilled.

Beat Ieyasu at Mikatagahara, but his illness worsened on the march and he died in Shinano.
