Fukushima Masanori
“One of the Seven Spears of Shizugatake”
A kinsman of Hideyoshi who served him from boyhood, he won fame as first among the Seven Spears of Shizugatake. Though a Toyotomi loyalist, his feud with Mitsunari led him to volunteer as the Eastern vanguard at Sekigahara, where he fought a bitter battle with the Ukita. He was rewarded with Hiroshima in Aki, 490,000 koku, but was later stripped of his domain for repairing his castle without permission.
