“One of the Five Great Generals”
He fought at Guandu as one of Yuan Shao's generals, but fearing slander went over to Cao Cao and thereafter carried great weight as a veteran of Wei. Skilful with changing formations and the lie of the land, he beat Ma Su at Jieting and wrecked Zhuge Liang's first northern expedition. The famous general the Shu army guarded against most, he was killed by an arrow while pursuing them on the Mumen road.

Life
- Jian'an 5 Surrender to Cao Cao Fought for Yuan Shao at Guandu, but went over to Cao Cao amid the news of the defeat at Wuchao.
